Rightly said by “Sant Tukaramji” our organization Vishawambhar Shikshan Sanstha, Nagpur follows this word like a disciple and is striving harder to achieve its aim. VSS was started by enthusiastic young people who had light of devotion burning in their hearts. VSS is headed by Mrs.Aasha Dayashankar Tiwari, M.A.(Hindi), B.ed highly motivated and inspiring leader as a President, who believes in working together as a family. Currently working as a lecturer in V.M.V. College, Nagpur. VSS has a special concern towards “Women” she is a daughter, sister, wife, mother. India being in the 21st century the male dominating society till date has not appreciated her status.
VSS aims for continual upliftment of women by providing quality education; competency based training, temporary/permanent rehabilitation and providing shelter by adapting them.
We as a Sanstha does not believe in caste, creed, religion, whether rich or poor, we at VSS speak only one language of “humanity” towards all the living being.
We also specially trace and work harder for providing all the care and rehabilitation of Mentally Challenged individuals who are deprived and further neglected by the society. Over the past 10 years the research and development team of VSS are observing, studying and carefully evaluating these special children. They come to a conclusion that as compared to mentally challenged boys the mentally challenged girls have different and more difficult problems to deal with. These girls when achieves puberty since then the problem further intensifies also under go sexual changes which has an immediate and prolonged effect on their education training and rehabilitation.
Keeping this in view ambitious venture one of its own kind started taking its roots and on 11th July 2006 a special residential school exclusively for girls was started at Ratan Nagar, Mankapur, Nagpur named as “late Smt. Lilatai Deshmukh special school for girls” where a complete package of body mind and soul is provided through proper special training, guidance, discipline, play way activities and nutritious food as a second home for this special girls. VSS has a feather in his cap by starting such a school, which is only school for girls’ student in Maharastra. School for mentally challenged girls just a drop from the ocean of untouched difficulties women, this special School has been sanction the permission of 40 residential & 25 non- residential Girls Students by Apang Kalyan Ayuktalay, Pune, the Govt. of Maharastra on NO Grant Basis.
In the summer, when the vacations are going, plenty of options through summer camps are available for normal children, but what about the special children? Are, they kept locked inside our home? VSS came to the solution by starting a summer camp exclusively for these special children held at Laxmi Nagar Nagpur. Where 25 special children participated activities such as very special arts, abilyimpics, special educations, training in daily living activity were conducted. Since, the summer camp was on no profit no loss basis the response was immense. The shine of happiness and satisfaction in the eyes of parents paid us beyond our imagination. This was just beginning for parents, it is cloud with silver lining.
VSS has its mission to strive hard to sorts number of problems of women with a vision to excel their individual life through proper motivation, education training and increase their self-dependency.

We still have a long way to go in order to achieve our salted objective. Bnoyed by the spontaneous response received in last 3yrs. We have decided to embark on an ambitious expansion programme to bring each affected women under umbrella of VSS by involving them in various social, culture and skill based activities.
Residential School for Mentally Challenged
The milestone achieved by VSS the most ambitious project i.e. residential School for Mentally Challenged girls. The first residential school in Vidharbha State exclusively for girls.
These special girls requires attention, care and security, which is apathy available at Smt. Lilatai Deshmukh Education, Training & Rehabilitation Centre for Mentally Challenged Girls, Nagpur.
Main focus behind starting this school is to provide all the facilities under one roof. Because of the same reason immense response has been received from many parents towards this project. Member body of VSS had identified the need of both the girls and their parents through their continual research & development, therefore, school’s curriculum, daily schedule activities and nutritive requirement had been planned in such a manner to provide a complete package of body mind & soul under one roof. 100 % trained staff is appointed to provide quality education, competency based training and rehabilitation of the students, nutritive meals are provided at proper time and with further training good etiquettes and table manners.
The school is based at Bandhu Nagar Nagpur and in all 40 student are residing & studying currently. With an aim to teach, guide and train these special students the Sanstha and the school is working hard. The parents of these girls student are happy with venture where they can rest in peace by handing over their beloved child in our safe hands. Regular meeting is arranged for the parent to receive their comment, suggestion, guidance & we the ‘Sanstha’ feel satisfaction to see their happiness & appreciation for the work sincerity and devotion of the “Sanstha Worker”.

Mentally challenged girls up to a certain age are directly dependent upon their parent. The parent too provide their utmost care , but after a certain age the parent, family and the society finds themselves in a miserable condition what next? The girls after attaining the age of puberty develop sexual problem along with usual ones.
VSS has the suitable solution for the above cited problem. A Residential Workshop “Swayambhu” for mentally challenged girls above 18 yrs. of age will be established. Where in professional training will be provide to these special girls depending on their competency levels various skills will be taught which directly or indirectly develop their brain and eventually help them to become independent.
The programmed is planned in such a way. So that the girl student while learning as well as further becoming the part of the production will starts earning, this can surely be helpful for their economic development.
Professional training imparted at “Swayambhu” includes civil work:
casting bricks, roofing etc. Bakery product, Garments /textile production-cloth making, making bags, soft toys, laundry etc. for this a huge workshop are has been planned, further divided into various departments, their heads and 100% trained Vocational Trainer.
“Swayambhu” has an option kept for the parents to decide whether to send their child on temporary/permanent basis for rehabilitation. This project provides immense exposures of various activities which even normal children are part. This project can be proved as the best choice for re-habilitation of girls students.

When a child is born the whole family float in happiness, nobody is aware of problems which can come in child development. Growth and development follows a predictable pattern as all children pass through the same stages of development. But if the child shows spurts or slow rate of growth and development as compared to other children, but the parents due to lack of proper guidance, non-availability of services, Reluctance on part of family members, misconception that the child will become normal as he grows big or attitudes of stigma, which in turn create many problem for family and child itself.
Therefore, in recent year there has been much stress on early identification of children who are at “high risk” for mental retardation. VSS is reaching its hand towards this branch through “SPARSHA”. It will help below 6 year age group children to emphasis on sensory motor training and infant stimulation programme. It will also help for healthy growth of the mental and physical abilities of the child with developmental delay.
Our Sanstha will not only provide benefits to child but also the family and society at large.

Rehabilitation & Research Center for Mentally Challenged

VSS would like to reach out in depth to all possible places and helped mentally challenged women. Being mentally challenged is not a curse; it may be not completely eradicated but can surely be taken care of at all ages.
As the age of the mentally challenged girl increases reaches the adult stage, the society, family and parents does not like to take care of the girls as she was at the time of childhood. The situation further intensifies when the mentally challenged women is kept under lock & key.
VSS has also come across this situation where permanent adaptation & rehabilitation of the women is carried out, where such women are made self-dependent and research is carried out whereby providing them different options, undergo training and continue improvement within them. There may be some cases where less or no contribution is received from the participants side, still a hope is never lost at VSS institutions, with a positive note each project, each child, each adult is taken care of with same love and affection.

"SWADHAR"
It’s a saying the child’s first school is his mother’s lap. Women in its own way contribute the best she can support her family, educate her children and in the real sense give a ‘home’ to a house. But, Life is not certain if in case of a calamity where her husband passes away. In case due to any reason women undergo a divorcee her life becomes difficult and all the doors are closed. VSS provide shelter to all under “Swadhar” Rehabilitation Centre and workshop for widows.
Women are provide with proper training where they work hand in hand and stand shoulder to shoulder with confidence. “SWADHAR” identifies the skills and hidden talents amongst these women self-reliant, self-dependent and self-sufficient.
“Swadhar” becomes the helping hand with further rejuvenate women life and tries to fill their life with happiness. Training and economic development becomes the main pillars behind this project where faith and confidence in between is achieved.
Training in “Swadhar” includes preparing home based product, its packing, dispatching etc. where complete exposure towards business planning is given to all the participants, hence proves to be a initiative towards future entrepreneur.
Special School & Workshop for Girls Child labor

India stands first amongst all the countries in population, whereas due to limited resources present with us the most affected entity are the children. Continual rise in the inflation rate has made all the members of family needs to go out and work for sustenance. Which made to rise the problem called “Child Labour.”
VSS believes in itself and further presents the remarkable solution which finds separate place from the long list of orphanage and Bal Sudhar Griha. Ultimately the development will depend upon whether such places would bring about self-economic development make them independent. Nobody can rather justify these statements since motive behind is just to provide food & shelter, but can we make them self-dependent so that in near future they get settle down and live with pride?
VSS with this positive thought in heart would present Special School & Workshop for girls child labour “SMIT” Where in which the concept of “EARN & LEARN” is introduced. A specially designed concept for such girls where they will perceive quality education which earlier they were deprived from and undergo professional training by which they will start earning there livelihood.
VSS support these girls and further contribute towards making strong foundation of our country.
Sport and Cultural Foundation for Girls in Rural Area
"SWAPNA"
India in the field of sport is doing well but has not made its mark in other sport activities else than cricket. VSS has special concern towards this issue. There may be a lot of reason behind the said cause, but simply finding out faults and mistake will not solve the problem. VSS has given a very serious thought for this burning issue and have decided to start “Swapna”- A sport and cultural foundation especially to reach out at all the corners of urban or rural Maharastra and provide exclusive sport facilities within the reach of a common man. Limba Ram was a simple boy from a poor family based at interior parts of east India, was further provide with training, chiseled out his art of archery to make him one of the best archer of India.
India has lot of potential hidden inside the young & encouraging minds, VSS Will just play the role as a mediator, motivator to further train explore and inspire this generation next_ towards the roads of success.
VSS has planned to provide training in swimming, Basket Ball, Lawn Tennis , Volley Ball, Skating etc. and chalked out meticulous implementation of their dream project “swapna” where not only the sportsman from urban will get the chance to participate but even from the rural.
VSS further plans to organize training camps for folk, classical, semi classical dances, drama, one act play and in art & craft field at rural area to identify the hidden potential and give them stage to prove them.

We the VSS group lead to emotional security raises self-esteem and confidence turning affected person into differently able with extra care and nurturing parents the psychosocial supportive structure to the special families by creating positive, loving & caring environment.
